JetBlue Takes Off for Steamboat Springs

JetBlue announced the start of new service in Steamboat Springs, Colo., with the arrival of inaugural flights from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Long Beach Airport (LGB). The new routes connect the world-renowned ski destination with three key regions of JetBlue’s route map and operate on a winter seasonal schedule.

“This winter JetBlue is pairing our award-winning service with the famed champagne powder of Steamboat,” said Andrea Lusso, director route planning, JetBlue. “And with three new nonstop routes to some of the best skiing in the western U.S., Steamboat Springs has never been so close to travelers across our network.”

JetBlue’s New Seasonal Service Now Flying Between Steamboat Springs and Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Boston and Long Beach, Calif.

JetBlue is now the only airline to offer nonstop service from both New England and South Florida to Steamboat Springs. And Long Beach service opens up a new and convenient airport choice for Southern California travelers. Twice-weekly Boston and Long Beach service operates Wednesdays and Saturdays, with Fort Lauderdale service operating weekly on Saturdays.

JetBlue flights serve Yampa Valley Regional Airport (HDN), just 30 minutes from downtown Steamboat Springs. Steamboat’s unique mix of Champagne Powder®, cowboy boots and friendly locals lends an inviting, laid back atmosphere to the historic Colorado resort town, where western heritage meets abundant outdoor adventure.

“Recognizing the popularity of Steamboat as a destination for guests in New England and south Florida, the resort is thrilled to partner with JetBlue to provide nonstop access for skiers and riders in these markets as well as Long Beach for West Coast vacationers,” said Rob Perlman, president and COO of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp.

“Air service into the Yampa Valley Regional Airport continually ranks as a top priority among business leaders in our community,” said Kara Stoller, CEO, Steamboat Springs Chamber. “The new JetBlue nonstop routes into the Yampa Valley are a fantastic addition to our current air program and will surely make an impact on the local economy. We are thrilled to welcome guests from every corner of the country and have additional destinations that locals are able to access from our great regional airport.”
