New Airline Landing in Orlando, Florida

It looks as if there will be a new airline flying in Florida.  Florida Express Jet has announced that starting March 20, 2014, they will be offering nonstop service from Orlando to both Fort Lauderdale and Tallahassee with fares starting at just $69.00.  Connecting service between Fort Lauderdale and Tallahassee via Orlando will also be available with fares starting at $99.00.  The airline announced this week that reservations are now open and can be purchase through their website.

Service will be provided on Swift Airlines Boeing 737-400 aircraft and will offer 12 Business Class seats and 138 Economy Class seats.  Complimentary amenities will be available on board such as snacks and beverages including free Wi-Fi.  The airline plans on flying eight flights per day between the three destinations.

According to their website, Florida Express also plans on adding service later this year to Jacksonville, Tampa, Key West and Daytona.

Florida Express will see strong competition from airlines like Silver Airways, Spirit and perhaps Southwest and American Airlines in the coming months.  However, if Floridians are looking for a quick, low-cost flight, then perhaps Florida Express is the way to go.
