The Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration kicks off today, May 16, 2025. It honors seven decades and counting of The Happiest Place on Earth with must-visit festivities across the resort through summer 2026.
In 1955, Walt Disney opened Disneyland Park with a hope that it would be “a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.” This limited-time celebration highlights that feeling of absolute happiness through jubilant entertainment, décor, food and beverages, merchandise and more.
High-energy and heartfelt entertainment, day into night
From effervescent moments to breathtaking spectaculars, the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration entertainment lineup will inspire guests to sing along and dance.
The Paint the Night parade is making its highly anticipated return to Disneyland Park, showcasing vibrant floats adorned with over a million dazzling LED lights. The nighttime spectacular Wondrous Journeys is also back, featuring stunning projection effects and music inspired by films from Walt Disney Animation Studios. This show is further enhanced by fireworks on select nights.
At Disney California Adventure Park, the brand-new nighttime spectacular “World of Color Happiness!” is inspired by Walt Disney’s words from the opening day dedication of Disneyland: “To all who come to this happy place… welcome!” This water show features a rendition of “Rainbow Connection” performed by the R&B group Boyz II Men, as well as an original song titled “Makes Me Wanna Move,” performed by FITZ, the frontman and namesake of the multi-platinum band Fitz and the Tantrums. Additionally, colorful floats and more than two dozen characters from Pixar Animation Studios films will fill the streets of Disney California Adventure Park with the return of the high-energy daytime parade “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!”
Additional entertainment highlights include “The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade” daytime processional and “Tapestry of Happiness” nighttime projection show on the façade of “it’s a small world” at Disneyland Park, as well as “Celebrate Happy: A Little Bit of Magic Every Night” projections on the façade of Carthay Circle Restaurant at Disney California Adventure Park. “Celebrate Happy,” a new theme song performed by the Jonas Brothers, can be heard in various new entertainment experiences. Walt Disney Records released Music From Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, which is now available on the Disneyland Official Playlist, wherever guests stream music.
