Brooklyn: Morgan’s Brooklyn Barbeque

Morgan’s is Brooklyn through and through, a restaurant with a DIY edge that’s as mindful of families with young kids as it is of the borough’s bearded whiskey fanatics. The Texas-style barbecue is treated seriously (very good brisket, pulled pork and ribs), but there’s also the whimsical, crowd-pleasing frito pie smothered with Texas red chili; loaded baked potatoes; and church-supper standby green bean casserole. The restaurant offers a big, casual, wood-detailed space, with a late-night menu of barbecue sandwiches starting at 11:00 p.m.
